One Yoruba saying goes thus… “Ase Ina ni ina fi n jo, Ase oorun ni oorun fi n ran…”; this shows that Eledumare gives Ase to everything He created. In Yorùbá spirituality, words are never empty. Beyond ritual, Àṣẹ operates in everyday Yorùbá life:
•  Elders speak blessings over children.
•  Leaders pronounce declarations.
•  Communities seal agreements with affirmation.
