ABOUT THE BOOK - SUMMARY

Moremi Ajasoro (Olowo Aremo, Aboje Poopo) is a timeless story of a brave woman in the olden days of Yoruba land. Moremi Ajasoro was written and produced by renown author – Debo Awe. The first edition of the book was released in 2016. The story was centered in ancient town of Ile-Ife. The story started when Oluronbi – a widow, who played the role of Moremi Ajasoro’s mother, went to the farm of her husband to fetch Gbodogi leaf. During this time, Moremi herself was a baby.

One day, Her mother was working as usual on her husband’s farm, when “Ebora Ugbo” caught up with her in the farm. Unfortunately, she met her waterloo in the farm and died untimely. This made Moremi Ajasoro to become an orphan. As time went on, Moremi eventually grew up to a beautiful and powerful woman and liberate Ile Ife from the terror of Ugbo people. How did she free Ile-Ife from the incessant killing from “Ugbo” people? Who gave her power? How did Moremi managed to navigate the issue of adversity in the prime of her success?
