ABOUT THE BOOK - SUMMARY

Apere Oba (The King’s Throne) is an interesting Yoruba book written and authored by a popular book writer – Adun Amoo. The first edition of the book was released into the public in the year 2012. The story of the book was inspired on how powerful people of olden days flex power without considering the consequence of their action whether in their life time or beyond. This fiction story was centered on one powerful king in Yoruba land named Adegoye, of Safejo town.

In the beginning before birthing Adegoke, his father was the king and immediately the gave birth to him (Adegoye), the heard different predictions that the boy would one day ascend the throne of his father and leave an iconic impact in the town; hence they started pampering him more than other children who were born before and after him. To make Adegoye safe from jelousy and conspiracy of people, the king sent him to another village to be living with one elderly person. Find out what later became of Adegoye, how he was able to amass power and consequences thereafter.
