Yoruba books are full of wise teachings that remain useful for daily life. They explain why patience, kindness, and respect are important and warn against greed, lies, and betrayal. At Yoruba Library, we have gathered a lot of unique and rare titles that you may not easily find elsewhere. These books include drama, poetry, and prose written by respected Yoruba authors. They are simple to read and suitable for both young and old who want to understand Yoruba culture better.
Eni A Wi Fun, a fictional Yoruba book written and authored by Akofe Adeniyi. The first edition of this book was released in the year 1997. Eni A Wi Fun, is a Yoruba statement often said to someone that did not yield to elders’ counsel (Eni a wi fun, Oba je o gbo…). The story featured a fictional character called Eniola Olanrewaju, who was aiming to inherit his parents’ properties after their demise.
This made him not to focus on his own life. Later, Eniola got what he bargained for, and this made his life miserable. As a second chance, he met Olowosekisa who was on a mission of seeing Eniola victorious and excel in his endeavor. Did Eniola eventually succeed? What did he used to repay his benefactor?
