ABOUT THE BOOK - SUMMARY

Alaseju is a great Yoruba book written and authored from the stable of Kola Akinlade. This book’s first edition was released into the public in the year 2010. The story of Alaseju is about ancient Yoruba land dated back to 200 years ago. The plot was centered on old Oyo town, during the reign of Amole. King Amole sent the most superior warrior in Oyo empire popularly known as Kankanfo to wage war to Iwere Kingdom.

Iwere was known to be victorious in different wars, and this made the then Kankanfo (Afonja) to think twice about what king Amole sent him. What later became of King Amole? How did Afonja apply wisdom to deal with issue? Who came out triumphant? What lesson can we derive from this story? Find out these and many more in the book titled “Alaseju” by Kola Akinlade.
