Pakute Esin (Religion's Trap) is a unique Yoruba book written and authored by Oladejo Odebunmi. The first edition of this book was produced in the year 2011. The core moral of the story of Pakute Esin is about those that use religion to deceive people – hiding under presentence of being spiritual. The drama started when Prophet Job planted a church as the general overseer. Yes, the church was booming and he’s doing the work as sent.
However, his wife was the cankerworm. She used religion to deceive different people, and even went as far as obtaining charms from different sources to be able to command people in her work place to do her wills. What really happened to Prophet Job and his ministry? What was the repercussion of his wife’s act? What lesson can we deduce from this story?
