Iduro Gbakoko: Ologbenla's Kindness That Backfired

Yoruba literature remains an important way to pass wisdom and teach people the value of good character. The stories often talk about kings, hunters, traders, and families, teaching lessons about hard work, courage, and the danger of bad behavior. Many of these books also remind readers about the importance of keeping promises and respecting elders. At Yoruba Library, we keep a lot of unique and rare titles you may not find in other places. These books are written by some of the best Yoruba authors, and they are perfect for learning about Yoruba culture and improving your understanding of life values.

ABOUT THE BOOK - SUMMARY

Iduro Gbakoko (translated as “Waiting takes time”) is a Yoruba book written and authored by Veronica Aina. The first edition of the book was released into the public in the year 2018. The story preaches that good things will never go unrewarded, even though it may be delayed. Iduro Gbakoko’s started when Ologbenla did a good thing for Osungbeje. Unfortunately, Ologbenla repaid good course with bad.

On the other hand, Osungbeje reciprocated Ologbenla’s earlier good tiding. What actually transpired between both thereafter? How did the village Mayor (Baale) of Omido settled the case? What lesson can we learn from this story? Find out these and many more in the book titled “Iduro Gbakoko” by Veronica Aina.
